Often, when we being a new practice, it’s difficult to find the movement and breath that’s right for us.

Traditionally, yoga has been taught in a very individualized way. Private sessions allow for specific attention to be paid to the unique needs of each student.

We begin by assessing the physical and mental patterns that have created imbalances within ourselves. Working together, we develop a personalized series of movements, breath practices and lifestyle choices to facilitate the changes that you wish to create.

After several weeks of practice and integration on your own, we evaluate changes and move towards adding other components. These may include breathing techniques, ayurvedic modalities, meditation and yoga nidra*.

*Nidra is a sanskrit word meaning sleep. This deep relaxation is undertaken to access the subconscious self, hidden from us in the awakened state. Through yoga nidra we are able to explore our deepest intentions and free blockages that create separation of body, mind and spirit.
