Feel Better Yoga
Embarking on the journey to become a yoga teacher calls us to explore the unique, powerful and often surprising teacher within each of us. While there are many choices for yoga teacher trainings, there are few that focus on the “why” of yoga as much as the “how.” This teacher training is designed for lifelong learners and challenges the status quo.
It ignites the motivation to move and create a practice that uses strength without strain and effort without pain. We embrace contemporary perspectives on asana, pranayama, and subtle energies that lead us to the essence of a balanced yoga practice and open us to the source of our energy and light.
Strength and Balance
The supremely competent structure of the human body allows us to perform an extraordinary number of movements and tasks. In somatic yoga, we use the body as the primary source of information to create a deep shift in patterns that create imbalance and pain. Breath, mindful awareness and slow specific movement invites us to observe the sensation of pain without judgment or resistance. Simply experiencing, without the overlay of judgment, our perception of pain shifts. This creates a pathway to pain relief without pharmacologic interventions that is long lasting and self healing.
Join us for three days exploring new ways to increase stability and mobility in the core cylinder of support - the 4 major muscles that hold us up. Back pain and balance challenges are often the result of stress, joint instability and ineffective patterns of movement. Shifting communication patterns between brain and muscles through slow mindful movement increases fluidity and invites awareness and strength.
Explore possibilities of movement that allow for pain free movement at any age. Small group allows for individualized attention and deep learning

Morning asana class with breath practices and focus on somatic yoga movement.
Workshop: simple anatomy covering the cylinder of support muscles that are essential for core strength and back health (might be surprising!). Followed by movements which integrate information from the workshop.
Explore your unique patterns in everyday movements, recognize the stimulus for pain pathways. Activate different neural pathway through mindful movement to shift and heal from pain.
We close the day with Yoga Nidra

Morning asana class which focuses on movement that brings balance to the core
Workshop: learn everyday tips for integrating movement into life to strengthen the body and improve balance. Experience the power of using breath to change how we feel in the body.
We’ll end the day with Yoga Nidra

Putting it together-implementing change to create new strength and balance-Take home movements and tools to change your everyday experience of balance and strength

Our intermediate yoga poses are poses that are a little more challenging but can be performed with some simple instruction.
Like all yoga poses, ensure you are focusing on the correct form at all times to reduce the risk of injury!
The pigeon Pose is an excellent pose to help stretch your quads.
